Construction is now complete on the newly renovated Talbot Hill Reservoir Park on S. 19th Street in Renton.
The Parks, Recreation, and Natural Areas Plan that was created in 2020 with engagement from the community saw a strong desire for additional facilities for pickleball, although the main objective of the renovations was to enhance existing locations in the park for long-term use and restore the sports court.
As part of the project, drainage joint improvements were employed to improve overall drainage and for the sports court. The court has also been resurfaced and painted and now provides a durable and safe play surface that is also attractive for pickleball and tennis.
A new ADA-accessible pedestrian bridge was built to provide safe access to the reservoir roof and sports courts. The pathway system is now fully accessible and connects all areas of the park. The parking lot has also been upgraded with new patching, sealcoating, and curbs and a designated ADA accessible space.
Additional enhanced amenities in the park include a drinking fountain with bottle filler, a new shade shelter, benches, bike racks, barrier nets and court nets, updated fencing for the courts, and a practice wall that has been repaired. More landscaping has also been added to the park.
Brochure printing can be used to provide more details on such updated features and amenities.
