Renton to hold family-friendly safety event
The first Safety Fest will be held by the city of Renton later this month.
Safety Fest will take place at the Renton Community Center on Maple Valley Highway. It will be a hands-on event for all members of the family, focused on preventative care and day-to-day safety. It will be an opportunity to engage with over 20 stations and booths dedicated to well-being and safety in the community.
There will be safety experts from American Red Cross, King County Public Health, the Renton Fire Department, and other groups, organizations, agencies, and teams. Attendees will be able to engage with various teams from the Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Police, and Executive Services Departments. There will be safety demonstrations and the ability to learn about other opportunities and classes. Guests can also benefit from giveaways that will include lifejackets, bike helmets, and first aid kits.
There will also be a limited supply of air purifiers available thanks to donations from the city’s Neighborhood program and Eco Infinity Nation. A bike rodeo event will be a main feature, as well as several food trucks including Ice Cream Express WA and Mexicuban from Renton.
Such unique events can benefit from poster printing to promote themselves throughout a city.
This event will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 17. Admission is free.
