The newly appointed Presiding Judge for the Renton Municipal Cort is Judge Jessica Giner.
When such appointments are made this often prompts the printing of new Business Cards.
Among Judge Giner’s responsibilities will be to preside over court Calendars, recommend policies and procedures that improve the effectiveness of the court, direct the allocation of resources, and lead the administration and management of the business of the court. Her job is to ensure that proceedings are fair.
Mayor Armondo Pavone appointed Judge Giner to the Renton Municipal Cort in April 2021 and she was re-elected last November. Prior to this, for eight years she was a temporary judge in courts across Western Washington, including Renton Municipal Court.
The King’s County Bar Association has given her a “Exceptionally Well Qualified” rating, and she has earned high ratings from six minority bar associations too, including Washington Women Lawyers, the Cardozo Association, QLaw, and the Joint Asian Judicial Evaluation Committee.
Judge Giner expressed her honor for this opportunity to serve in her new position and said she is looking forward to working with the dedicated team of court professionals and partners in the city to provide the best possible court services for the community.
Creating and expanding programs of the court is one of Judge Giner’s goals, such as civics education programs and the mental health calendar.
