Renton will be hosting a Halloween Costume Contest during the Olde Fashioned Halloween Party later this month.
The contest is open to people of all ages and their four-legged friends. There will also be a photo booth so attendees can take pictures of their costumes. Sweet treats, a pop-up vendor market, and much more are planned for the event.
Categories for costume judging are the funniest, the scariest; the most creative, and best family and group coordinated or themed.
Age groups are youth, up to 12 years of age; teens for those between 13 and 17 years old; adults for those 18 years old and older; group and/or family; and any pets.
From 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. registration will take place along with the free photo booth. The contest will begin at 3:00 p.m. on stage at Cugini Florists and Fine Gifts and the winners will be announced an hour later. This will take place. on Saturday October 25.
There will also be a Senior Holiday Craft Bazaar at the Renton Senior Activity Center. There will be gifts, crafts, handcrafted arts, and other items made by those over the age of 50 from Renton and the neighboring communities. This will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday October 25.
Such seasonal festive events can be promoted throughout a city with poster printing.
