Renovated public pool in Renton now open

The Henry Moses Aquatic Center (HMAC) in Renton is now open for the season.

Renovations to the center have been taking place recently and are near completion. Some of these improvements include upgraded motors and pumps; new liners for the pool; improved safety in the locker room; improvements to the concession building for increased functionality and greater visibility; and updates the heating, ventilation; and air conditioning. These updates will enhance the experience for visitors by advancing the efficiency, comfort, and safety of the facility.

Still to be installed is a replacement for the small play structure. It will not be until the middle of the season when the new one arrives so this will be installed in time for the season of 2026 so as not to close the facility this season. A play area for little ones will still be made available as the staff of Parks and Recreation add temporary structures to the experience.

Poster printing can be used throughout a city to inform residents of such openings and their available activities for the public.

The HMAC is open every day of the week through Labor Day. Activities offered at HMAC this season include water walling, swim lessons, open swim sessions, and lap swimming, in addition to Teen Night, signing up for Junior Lifeguard Day Camp, and the pooch plunge, once the season ends.
