The Dragon Dash 5K/10K Fun Run and Walk is coming to Renton later this month as part of the celebration of the hatching of Erasmus, the dragon on the rooftop, and the guardian of downtown Renton.
The Run and Walk is organized by the Recreation Department of the city. Print shops can offer a one-stop shopping experience for creating Flyers, Posters, and other materials to promote such events.
The Run and Walk is open to families, walkers, competitive runners, and those who run for fun. Once the run ends, there will be a hunt for dragon eggs for children, as well as the ability to try the Sword in the Stone. BuDu Racing, LLC. will be providing professional and accurate chip timing.
The cost to register for the 5K Run and Walk is $28 while the cost for 10K is $38. Those who register by Friday, April 7 will receive a long sleeve Dragon Dash T-shirt.
The route will start at Wells Avenue South outside of Common Ground Coffee and Cupcakes and Macadons and end on Maple Valley Highway. Participants may find a fire-breathing dragon, a sword in the stone, or a medieval knight along the route.
The Run and Walk will take place on Saturday, April 15. Tables for checking in will open at 9:00 am and the Run and Walk will begin at 10:00 am.
