Renton to host special seasonal events

An “All You Need Is Love” Urban Night Market will be presented by Urban Market next month.

There will be entertainment, music, drinks, and vendors selling their goods and products. The market will take place on Saturday, February 1 from 3:00 to 9:00 pm and Sunday, February 2 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Renton Chamber of Commerce. Banner printing can be used for such markets to encourage vendors to sign up for the event.

Benita R. Horn, Principal of Benita R. Horn & Associates, and John Houston, a business consultant and Renton resident, will be leading a virtual tour of African American historical sites in the city at the Renton History Museum next month. The history of the African American residents of Renton and their contributions to the city will be explored during this talk. Attendees will learn about local luminaries, the effects of development, and how the location was developed for the center of their community.

The Renton History Museum is located in an historic Art Deco firehouse in the downtown area and features publications, programs, events, and changing exhibits that showcase the many stories that make up the past and present of Renton. Many restaurants and shops surround the museum, which also offers free parking.

The talk will take place on Thursday, February 6 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. There is a fee of $5 for general admission.
