Applications are now being accepted by the Renton Municipal Arts Commission for its Arts and Culture Grants for 2024. These grants are open to community groups, organizations, and individuals who want to bring their creative visions to life to enrich the experiences of residents and visitors to Renton.
These Arts and Culture Grants generate artistic endeavors driven by the community to develop a deeper connection to the arts among the residents of the city. The Commission is looking to welcome inventive projects which enhance societal and individual understanding, celebrate diversity, and generate new ways to encourage artistic engagement. Programs that can be offered can include festivals, dance performances, educational workshops, theater workshops, and readings.
Grants can be secured in amounts of up to $10,000 and are limited to one per calendar year per applicant.
The Renton Municipal Arts Commission will be hosting a drop-in question-and-answer session that will provide an informal opportunity for applicants to meet with the grant committee, engage with other applicants, and get further details on the application process. This also is a good venue for brochure printing to highlight such details with Brochures and other printed materials that applicants can take away with them. The next session is from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 3.
