Renton seeks applicants for human services funding

The Human Services Funding Collaborative (HSFC) is now accepting applications for 2025-2026.

Non-profits and other organizations that serve residents of Renton such needs as economic opportunities, health and wellness, and connector services are invited to put their names forward. Renton expects that the human services funding agency will have $812,000 available for next year.

The criteria that must be met for this funding include requesting a minimum of $15,000 per program, submitting a completed application with all attachments, addressing one of the priorities of funding for human services, meeting insurance requirements if the funds are awarded, ability to execute a contract with the city, and regularly tracking and submitting the reports required regarding demographics, services, and outcomes.

Local Print shops can produce Flyers and other printed materials with more information about such grants and the requirements for funding.

The Human Services Advisory Committee will evaluate and review the applications once they are received. Proposals will be rated within each priority area based on budget, accessibility, impact, and description of the program. The Renton City Council will approve the funding recommendations.

There will be drop-in sessions to answer questions about the application process on March 21, March 26, and April 3. Applications are due by Monday, April 8. Agencies receiving funding will be notified by the fall about funding to begin on January 1, 2025.
