Applications are now being accepted for the Tourism Promotion Grants for 2025 in the city of Renton. These grants are for innovative events that highlight the unique charm of the city and attract vacationers and travelers.
Non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for these grants. The locations for the events do not need to be in with the city limits of Renton but should contribute to increasing tourism to the city. Multiple events can be submitted by organizations.
All applications will be reviewed by the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) which is appointed by the mayor and composed of seasoned advisors. The funding proposals will be reviewed by LTAC, which will make recommendations to Renton City Council. The City Council will make the final decisions on funding.
This Thursday September 12 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., there will be a live question and answer session at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington. There will be a virtual question and answer session from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday October 10. There will also be an application workshop from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Renton Public Library on Wednesday October 16. All applications are due Friday October 18 at 4:30 p.m.

Proposals will be presented by finalists to LTAC on Monday November 18 and selected projects will be announced in December.
