A new HealthPoint healthcare clinic is now open in Renton.
Housed in what was formerly the Renton Highlands Library in the new Sunset Neighborhood Center, the clinic is a community health center and a partnership among Neighborhood House, Valley Cities, St. Vincent de Paul, the Renton Housing Authority, and HealthPoint.
The clinic will be offering care for the entire family. HealthPoint employs an integrated approach that focuses on treating the whole person. Among the services to be offered at the clinic will be treatment and management of chronic diseases, family planning services, nutrition education, and behavioral healthcare.
A sliding scale fee will be available at the clinic to enable healthcare to be affordable to everyone, regardless of their income. Many staff will be bilingual and will be able to help with question regarding insurance.
Openings of such services are often made known to the community with flyer printing.
President and CEO of HealthPoint, Lisa Yohalem, said that HealthPoint’s mission is to improve the health of people in the community. She added that the belief is that everyone in the community deserves to have equal access to healthcare regardless of their circumstances.
Yohalem also expressed the honor that HealthPoint feels to be able to partner with the city of Renton and the Renton Housing Authority to provide affordable, accessible, and compassionate healthcare to the community of Sunset.
