New community center opens in Renton

The First Family Community Center (FFCC) is now open in Renton.

The FFCC spans 21,000 square feet and is a state-of-the art facility. It provides a holistic and unique approach to enable families and individuals from all backgrounds and at all ages and levels to lead successful, healthy, and fulfilling lives by offering support services, education, and recreation. It is in the Benson Hill/Cascade neighborhood next to Cascade Elementary School on 116th Avenue SE on land donated by the school district.

There will be after-school classes and programs at the FFCC, as well as adult and youth sports; personal training and group exercise; classes on health, nutrition, and cooking; and financial literacy classes. Students who attend the Cascade Elementary School will be offered science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) classes by the Renton School District.

HealthPoint will offer behavioral health, medical, and dental care to residents in the area, as well as wellness programming. There is also a fitness center, a gymnasium, and fitness classes during hours when school is not in session.

Brochure printing can provide more details about programs and features of such new unique neighborhood centers.

Armondo Pavone, mayor of Renton, said the opening of the FFCC demonstrates what the result can be when agencies, non-profit organizations, private donors, and local government come together to bring visions to life.
