Renton Roadshows is being hosted by the Renton Municipal Arts Commission, with pop-up performances to be held around the city this month.
These are performances by local artists lasting between one and two hours, taking place at venues around the city. The goal of these performances is to bring live music to those who want to stop by and listen. Bill Huls, Marsha Rollinger, Dave Samek, and Neil Sheesley, all of whom are arts commissioners, are organizing the performances. Such arts events are often promoted throughout a city with poster printing placed at key locations.
Coming up this month is the duo band D’Generic, comprising artists Erik Olson and Daniel Clark. Their acoustic music covers a wide range of styles and features guitar playing and harmonies. The duet will be presenting at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church from 5:30 to 7:30 pm next Monday, March 15.
Following popular demand, Daniel Pellegrini will be returning to the Renton Chamber of Commerce. Dick’s Drive-in will be parking its food truck at the site so attendees can enjoy burgers and fries along with the music. This will be from noon to 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 18.
The last artist of the month will be Henry LaVallee, performing solo on acoustic guitar and vocals. He will be at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Monday, March 22.
