A beep-beep treat comes to Renton

The Renton Community Center will be hosting its Spooktacular event called Trunk-or-Treat, where children of 10 years of age and under can get to know some special vehicles and machines.

Some of the vehicles to be included are the Stoneway cement mixer, police vehicles, City of Renton public works trucks, and an antique firetruck. The event not only has Halloween treats, but also the opportunity for plenty of ‘horn honking’ with the vehicles. Strolling characters are new for this year and will be available for photo opportunities.

The City of Renton facilitates a number of community activities related to fitness and entertainment for residents and passersby throughout the city, and regularly turns to printing services to make them known. It has two magazines (Golden Opportunities and What’s Happening) that include articles about upcoming events like Trunk-or-Treat, and other local programs relating to fitness, events, and entertainment that are on the agenda.

Renton’s Trunk-or-Treating is scheduled for October 19 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Registration is $8 and is available through Renton’s city webpage; attendees should not that this is required and non-refundable. An event bracelet will be issued at the gate.

Space is limited and often sells out very fast, so early registration is highly encouraged. Registration is also available through Patch.com, by calling 425-430-6730, or visiting Cybersingup.com.
