A special opportunity is coming up in Issaquah, which may be going to the dogs.
A Christmas Tree Pull featuring the Newfoundland Club of Seattle is coming to the trinity Tree Farm. The “gentle giants,” Newfoundland dogs, will be pulling trees for people who come to the farm. The occasion promises smiles, wagging tails, and tradition.
Tree Pulls will take place at tree farms across the country. Thus far, one source has compiled a list of 13 farms that are participating this year, but more could be added as more people learn about these events. In addition to people having fun watching the dogs pull Christmas trees to purchasers’ vehicles, the tree pulls give those interested in Newfoundlands a chance to learn more about the breed. It is also a way to support the Newfoundland Club of Seattle.
Newfoundlands are known as working dogs, which is not just a casual way to describe them. The American Kennel Club has placed 30 dogs in the Working Group, including not only the Newfoundlands but also dogs like boxers, Great Danes, and Samoyeds. However, “Newfies” are also known for their sweet and mild tempers.
The tree pull is set for Saturday, December 6 at 10:00 pm. Trinity Tree Farm is at 14209 228th Avenue SE in Issaquah. Local events like this benefit when organizers publicize them using poster printing to create colorful advertising.
