Winter comedy night coming to Aberdeen

A potentially chilly and wet January in Aberdeen will be made a little warmer through laughter.

Messy Jessy’s will be the place to be to share the fun with headliner Monica Nevi, and featured performer Jeremiah Hughes. Brandon White will undertake hosting duties for the evening.

Monica Nevi has been appearing at comedy clubs throughout the country, and is featured on Hulu and numerous television programs. She bases much of her routine on her personal experiences, which she relates with levity and honesty. Monica grew up in Renton, Washington, and earned a degree from Seattle University, where she played collegiate basketball. When injuries put a stop to her career, she turned to stand-up comedy. Helium Comedy Studios filmed “Big Stepdad Energy,” her debut special, in 2022. That year, We Own The Laughs Magazine voted it one of the top 50 specials.

Jeremiah Hughes appears on the program as well. A local resident who is based in Tacoma, he is a rising star known for his wit and silly attitude. He has appeared in clubs in Olympia, Seattle, North Bend, Washington, and previously in Aberdeen. In addition to live shows, Hughes is the host of the “Wired and Weird” podcast.

The show is set for January 12, at 9.00pm. When events like this are scheduled, organizers can create interesting advertising for the show by using poster printing techniques.
