An upcoming workshop will give attendees a chance to create something beautiful for the festive season.

Nauti Mermaid Designs will host a workshop at which participants can create a beautiful sea glass tree that measures approximately nine inches tall and five inches wide. There are four designs to choose from: the Nauti Angel Tree, Nauti Grinch, Nauti Gnome, or the original Nauti Tree. The hosts will provide step-by-step directions, as well as all necessary materials and embellishments. No special artistic talent is needed to complete the project. When classes like this are planned, organizers can use flyer printing to create instruction sheets.

It takes place at Westport Winery Garden Resort, located at 1 South Arbor Road. The specific location is the sunroom at the Sea Glass Grill. Food will be available, and attendees over 21 may want to order cocktails, wine, or beer, during class.

The resort covers 21 acres, 15 of which are display gardens where local artists show more than 60 outdoor sculptures. In addition to the grill, visitors might want to explore the International Mermaid Museum or Ocean’s Daughter Distillery on the property.

The workshop costs $55, and pre-registration is necessary because space is limited. Organizers remind everyone to wear old clothes since these classes can get messy.
