Aberdeen-born comedian brings comedy show home

Messy Jessy’s is set to bring fun to local audiences.

Jeremiah Hughes, a popular comedian who appears here regularly, is the headliner of the upcoming show, which is substitute-hosted by Andrake West, and features Lynette Manning, back by popular request.

Hughes was born and raised in Aberdeen and hosts the MUSH podcast. His comedic perspective is silly, often lovable, and sometimes dark. He has appeared throughout the West Coast of the United States, toured the entire country and Canada, and appeared in cities such as Las Vegas, New York City, and Vancouver, B.C. He has appeared in the World Series of Comedy, Don’t Tell Comedy, and opened for artists such as Pauly Shore and Liza Treyger.

Lynette Manning is based in Olympia, Washington, and appeared in Forbes Magazine on their list of “12 Rising AAPI Stand-Up Comedians to Watch.” She has appeared at events such as Austin’s Moon Tower Comedy Festival, where her personal stories captivated diverse audiences of all ages. She has opened for stars such as Godfrey, and Nate Jackson.

Andrake West has been called the Pacific Northwest’s hottest rising comic and has appeared locally and on the Seriously Lighthearted Podcast.

The show is scheduled for August 14, beginning at 9.00 pm. Messy Jessy’s Bar and Grill is at 212 South I Street in Aberdeen. Admission is limited to those 21 years of age and older. When they plan shows like this, organizers can use flyer printing to create handouts to advertise the event locally.
