Talented musician coming to Aberdeen

A musician who, among other attributes, is a one-man band, is on the way to Aberdeen.

Caveman Dave, a one-man band, graphic artist, and songwriter, is from near Philadelphia. In addition to his other talents, he builds cigar box guitars, which as the name implies are guitars constructed using the Boxes as resonators. He has been touring since 2014, appearing at festivals and pubs including Snoqualmie Days, the Oregon County Fair, the Spring Gulch Folk Festival, and the Philadelphia Folk Festiva. He has also appeared at cigar box guitar festivals in the Ozarks, and in Pennsylvania.

Most of the songs Caveman Dave performs are original material in the Americana genre, but his performances are suitable for audiences of all ages. This is shown by the fact that he usually includes at least one song about dinosaurs, which may be from one of his digital albums about these prehistoric creatures. His dinosaur albums include 2024’s “The Wandering Dinosaur,” “Dinosaurs are Still Cool,” and “Bananasaurtimes Day.”

Dave currently lives in Eugene, Oregon, where he teaches music at the Shedd Institute, while he plans a national tour for the summer. In addition to festivals and tours, he also performs closer to home in nursing homes and preschools.

Caveman Dave will be at the Cave Bar on Saturday, June 7, starting at 7.00 pm. The venue is at 823 West 1st Street in Aberdeen. When they schedule shows like this, organizers often use poster printing to create advertising for them.
