An unusual event will take place in Aberdeen this summer.
The Aberdeen Rain Glow Festival will offer food, fun, and live music, as well as nine separate “worlds” for attendees to explore. Organizers suggest visitors start by enjoying the music as they shop at the Vendors Marketplace. From there, they can move to Fractured Fairytale World and enjoy familiar fairy stories that have been turned upside down.
After spending time in the world of fairy tales, visitors should head to Kids World, where bubbles the size of cars float above them. Next up is the illuminated Penny Candy Store, designed to look like a candy shop from the 1920s. Rumor has it the root beer floats here are delicious. Here, the Plank City Players will provide the entertainment.
In Wonka Vision, the next world, Rave DJ SR 388 will oversee the music. The Metamorphosis world is next, where DJ Mia Ohms will hold sway.
After exploring the worlds, visitors can visit the beer and food area to watch the Emerald City laser show. They could also enter the contest for best illuminated costume. Organizers of complex events like this can use flyer printing to create a map for visitors.
The Aberdeen Art Center and the Harbor Art Guild are hosting the show, which the City of Aberdeen sponsors. All monies from the event will help add more public art to the city. The Rain Glow Festival begins at 9.00pm on July 22, at 200 S K Street in Aberdeen.
