Fun family event returns to Aberdeen

An event that is becoming a summer tradition is returning to Aberdeen.

The Sizzlin’ Summer Nights Car & Bike Show will take over Main Street soon, giving gearheads a chance to show off their favorite rides. Although details are still being finalized, a look back at the 2022 show will provide an indication of what attendees can expect this time.

The fun last year began with a concert and beer garden, which people were encouraged to enjoy by bringing lawn chairs and blankets. The event is designed for people of all ages, so the entertainment was suitable for children, with the exception of the beer garden.

Trophies were awarded last year to automobiles in several categories, including People’s Choice and Best in Show. Bikes participating in the Motorcycle category were also given Best in Show or Honorable Mention trophies. Volunteers were on hand to help people who were exhibiting their vehicles to park easily, and will be available again this year.

Commemorative T-Shirts were designed for the 2022 event, and it is likely they will be available for sale this year as well.

Sizzlin’ Summer Nights Car & Bike Show for 2023 is scheduled for August 26, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, on Main Street. When outdoor events like this are planned, organizers can use banner printing techniques to create decorations for the street.
