Annual feast returns to Aberdeen

Aberdeen residents will have no reason to be crabby this March, as a special event returns to the community.

The Ocosta Booster Club is the host of the 26th Annual All-You-Can-Eat Crab Feed, scheduled to take place at the Ocosta Rec Hall in Aberdeen. Attendees will be able to eat all the crab they can hold, as the name implies. Garlic bread, coleslaw, and spaghetti will also be on the menu, and beverages will be available for purchase.

All proceeds from the Crab Feel will go to support the Ocosta Booster Club Scholarship Program. The Club is a non-profit organization, and in addition to scholarships, helps support the extra-curricular recreational, academic, and athletic programs at Ocosta Junior/Senior High School. These funds supplement those supplied by the District/ASB. The school is located in Westport, whose fishing experts are donating the crab to the feast.

The Crab Feed is March 9, from 12.00 pm until 6.00 pm. The Ocosta Rec Hall is at 45 Ocosta Sixth Street. Fees are $40 for adults, $20 for children six to twelve, and the event is free for youngsters five and under. Tickets will be sold at the event. When celebrations like this are planned, organizers will often work with poster printing to create advertisements that can be placed in public spaces in communities located throughout the entire area, including both Aberdeen and Westport.
