Aberdeen to celebrate Bowling Day

A bowling alley in Aberdeen will be taking part in a nationwide event celebrating the sport.

The Sandhills Bowling Center will be the site of “Bowling Day in the USA,” a day where bowling alleys throughout the country will host special events to introduce families, and in particular children, to the fun of bowling.

The International Bowling Campus Youth Development team developed the event, which is occurring for the first time in 2023. The team is working to encourage bowling alleys everywhere to hold an exciting bowling event, which, in turn, will get people who are new to the sport excited about trying it. They are hoping to encourage children, in particular, to go bowling.

The team has set an ambitious goal. They hope to encourage 500 centers to take part in the event, and to bring in 100,000 families. They also hope to bring 10,000 young people into junior leagues and other programs aimed at younger athletes. Poster printing is an excellent method organizers of events like this can use to publicize them.

Bowling Day in the USA is a nationwide event scheduled for February 11, which is the day before the Super Bowl, meaning that families have a chance to make the entire weekend a sports event. Parents can use Bowling Day as a kickoff event for more bowling events later. The Sandhills Bowling Center will be celebrating on the 11th as well.
