Aberdeen set for more Friday fun

Comedy is coming to Aberdeen, and Messy Jessy’s is the place to be to enjoy it.

The popular bar and grill will be the venue for an upcoming evening of comedy hosted by Crispin Melchor, with Phil K and Jeremiah Hughes on the bill, and featuring headliner Teina Manu.

Jeremiah Hughes is originally from Hoquiam, Washington and is now based in Olympia. He is the host of the “Wired and Weird” podcast, as well as performing stand-up comedy, improv, and providing pro-wrestling commentary. He performs throughout the Pacific Northwest at venues such as the Spokane Comedy Club and the Tacoma Comedy Club.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Teina Manu is a native of Washington State who began his career in comedy in 1993. He has appeared on NBC, HBO, and was co-host of “The Teina & Brody Show,” a Seattle cult classic television program. He was also a writer for “Enjoy It,” shown on Comedy Central, and has performed at Hollywood’s renowned Comedy Store and opened for comedy stars like the late Mitch Hedberg.

Guests at Messy Jessy’s for the laughs can also enjoy food, such as flatbread pizzas.

Teina Manu and his friends appear Friday, September 13 at 9:00 pm. When events like this are planned, organizers can turn to professional printers who will use flyer printing to create handouts for local distribution.
