The Sugar on Snow @ Palmer’s Sugarhouse is continuing until Easter weekend in nearby Shelburne.
This event gives the public an opportunity to learn how maple syrup is created, and all the work that goes into it.
Guests will have the opportunity to watch maple sap being boiled and to purchase donuts, pickles and a wide variety of maple-flavored goodies. They can also enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides and visit with goats at the petting zoo. There will be live musical entertainment and treks through the sugar bush, although guests are asked to bring their own skis or snowshoes if there is snow on the ground.
There are two special events taking place next month. Kids Day is April 9 and there will be lots of extra activities for them. The Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt will be held on April 15 beginning at 1:00 PM.
This weekend event attracts visitors from all over the area, no doubt including some from Hinesburg. Organizers may invest in Banners to separate certain areas of the venue.
Sugar on Snow @ Palmer’s Sugarhouse will continue on weekends only in Shelburne until April 16 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM each day. Admission is free of charge and there is a fee for some activities.
