One of the most anticipated Easter traditions is coming to Colchester, and children in particular will be pleased.
Bayside Park will be the location of the great Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the Easter Bunny. The hunt is open to everyone, but people attending will need to bring their own basket or bag to place their goodies and eggs in. Organizers advice people to dress for changeable weather that spring in Vermont often brings.
Attendees should park at Colchester High School and then walk to the park and enter near the softball field located off Laker Lane. Eggs will be hidden throughout Bayside Park, but children will be separated into groups by age and will hunt in different locations. Toddlers four and under will hunt for eggs in Lower Bayside Park, while youngsters ages five through eight will search for their eggs in Upper Bayside Park.
In addition, the Colchester Lions Club is hosting a food drive during the egg hunt. They are asking everyone who participates in the event to bring at least one canned or non-perishable item to the hunt. The food collected will be donated to the Colchester Community Food Shelf.
The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for this Saturday, April 4 at 10.00 am. Organizers can promote events like this by using poster printing to create colorful advertisements and placing them throughout the community.
