Colchester is winding up its summer concert series with one final performance.

The Fall Concert will bring the music of the Devon McGarry Band to the community. The group, which is based in Burlington, Vermont, is a four-piece outfit comprised of seasoned musicians who share a common vision, to present original music that audiences cannot ignore, and remain accessible and refreshing within the rock genre.

Devon McGarry is the group’s songwriter, grounding the group in his rhythms and moving lyrics. But his bandmates take his foundation and add to it. Every time McGarry writes an irresistible hook, lead guitarist Jess Messina follows it with a guitar solo, accompanied by drummer Rich Armstrong and bass guitarist Mitch Terricciano who provide grooves and dynamic rhythms. Some of the performances come from the alternative rock scene of the 1990s, while others blend genres into something new. They also play Americana and roots rock in live performances driven by the sound of the guitars and powerful vocals.

They have been playing gigs around Vermont since 2016, appearing in Milton, Stowe, Waitsfield, and Waterbury. They have released several digital tracks and digital albums, the latter including “Nothing but Noise,” “The Time,” and “Live at the Skinny Pancake.”

The concert is scheduled for September 18, from 6.00 pm until 7.30 pm, at the Colchester Recreation Center. To publicize events like this, organizers can use poster printing methods to create local advertising.
