The 8th annual Vermont Cheesemakers Festival is taking place next month and is a presentation of the Vermont Cheese Council.
The festival will feature over 40 area cheesemakers and artisan food producers who will be providing samples. Guests will have the opportunity to taste cheese, wine, spirits, craft beer and food. In addition, over 200 different cheeses and different foods will be available for purchasing at very reasonable prices.
All guests will receive a wine glass and a shopping bag.
There will be cooking demonstrations such as butter making, a cheese making demonstration and workshops. The topics of the free workshops include cheddar tasting and information about beer and cheese pairings. Chef Plum from the Food Network will also be making an appearance at the festival.
It is very likely that the participating cheesemakers will be representative of Vermont communities such as Hinesburg. In addition to providing samples, exhibitors may also provide money-saving coupons that are often provided by local printing companies.
The Vermont Cheesemakers Festival is being held at Shelburne Farms Coach Barn on July 17 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is $60 for those aged 4 and over; guest must be over the age of 21 to sample alcoholic beverages.
