The Spring Benefit for the Lake Champlain Waldorf School is taking place on two separate days next month.
The celebration will consist of two separate concerts. The first one will take place on May 19 beginning at 6:30 pm. A family concert will raise money for the Joshua Moore Scholarship so that children whose parents cannot afford the tuition will be able to attend the school. Admission is by donation and those planning to attend must RSVP.
The main event will be the Spring Benefit Gala Concert and Auction on May 21. It will feature a student orchestra, the 5th and 6th grade chorus and 7th to 12th grade and adult community choruses. Tickets are $35 until May 10 and $40 after. VIP, or ‘Decoration Friend’, tickets are available for $60, which includes reserved seating and recognition in the event program.
The concert will be followed by a party including appetizers and drinks; tickets are $15 for those who just want to attend this part of the event. The silent auction begins online on May 12 and there is also set to be a live auction.
This event may attract some from nearby communities such as Hinesburg. To spread the word, organizers are likely to invest in poster printing services.
The Spring Benefit will be held at Shelburne Farms Coach Barn on May 19 and May 21. Call 802-985-2827 to find out more.
