The 8th ‘Festival of Fools’ is being held over three days this summer. It is presented by Burlington City Arts.
The festival is set to feature street performers from around the world. There will be circus acts, music, comedy, and lots of family friendly events.
Some of the performers who will be appearing at this year's event are juggler Dan Raspyni, Mr. Spin, a circus act from Australia, local B-boy dancers Rhythm Riderz, the Daredevil Chicken Club, and Magic Brian.
The event will kick off with a performance by the Hokum Brothers on the City Hall Stage. Other attractions taking place during the festival include ‘Lewis Black - The Rant is Due’ at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, the Full Moon Masquerade - an 18 and over event - that will feature visual artists and their custom masks, and a grand finale in which all of the performers will appear.
The last day of the festival will let ‘Kids Rock the Park’; this will include performances by Pinbox 3000, the Very Merry Theater, and Cate Great.
People from nearby communities will likely take a short trip to see some of these performances. To advertise in townships nearby, such as Hinesburg, organizers could make use flyer printing services.
The Festival of Fools will be held from July 31 to August 2 at City Hall Park and the Church Street Marketplace. Call 802-865-7166 to find out more.
