One of the best things about the holidays is the number of unusual markets that are held, with one coming up near Colchester.

The Vermont Holiday Market will be held at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction, only a few miles from Colchester. More than 60 artisans and crafters will be in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion each day. The crafts people come from throughout Vermont and the New England region. Shoppers will find a wide assortment of products including teas, artwork, maple products, leather goods, sweets, food stuffs, pottery, spices, jewelry, clothing, woodcraft, pet goods, distilled spirits, wines, meads, and even more.

Wolfgaard Productions, LLC, a company based in Vermont is the producer of the market. They offer several special events for everyone to enjoy including the Winter Renaissance Faire and the Sci-Fi & Fantasy Expo.

The market has proven so popular that there is a change this year—it is now a two-day event. The Vermont Holiday Market is set for December 3 and 4, from 11.00 am until 6.00 pm on both days. Champlain Valley Exposition is at 105 Pearl Street in Essex Junction. Admission is $5.00, which will be collected at the door. Children under the age of 12 are free, and parking is free as well.
