Silent auction to raise funds for Vermont students

The Ambassadors' Silent Auction will take place at the end of this month, and a portion of proceedings raised will go to the Paul Gallagher Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund.

This annual event is a presentation of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce. It will feature a silent auction, a live auction, raffles, and the ‘Taste of the Chamber’, which will offer appetizers from local caterers and restaurants. The live auction will be hosted by Jamie Polli from GameshowsVT.

Local businesses have already donated items such as Gift Certificates, iPads, trees, chocolate, packaged tours, artwork, and Books. Those who are participating in the auctions will likely want to let their current customers, from places such as Burlington and nearby Hinesburg, know about their donation. They might do this by availing themselves of services such as flyer printing from local printing companies, perhaps mentioning the donation and where the auctions will be held in the hope of encouraging more people to attend the event.

The scholarship fund, which also receives support from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, rewards one high-school senior or college student each year who is currently studying business or planning on doing so.

The 21st annual Ambassadors' Silent Auction will take place at the University of Vermont Davis Center on March 28 from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance or $14 at the door for chamber members and $20 for non-members. Those who require more information can call 802-863-3489.
