Mock cocktail event closes 2021 series

Residents in Vermont have the opportunity to participate in the last 2021 Mocks and Smocks activity at the Center for Arts and Learning in Montpelier.

Visitors from communities including Colchester are happy to drive to this event to enjoy mock cocktails and snacks while painting their masterpieces.

Mocks and Smocks has been taking place every third Thursday each month and the 2021 series will come to an end on December 17. The series is a partnership of the Center for Arts and Learning and T. W. Wood Gallery. The family-friendly event matches alcohol-free mock cocktails with an evening of painting for ages 14 and older.

The leader of the painting experience is Katie O’Rourke, who is a local visual artist who works mostly with oils and acrylics. She is inspired by the beauty found throughout Vermont and has been involved in teaching students the concept of acrylic painting for the past four years. She believes in individuals discovering their creativity and enjoys working with up-and-coming artists and graphic design lovers.
