Hinesburg will be hosting two days of activities to celebrate the United States’ independence.
The celebration will start off with the annual Hilly Hobble Foot Race on July 3. It will be held at Hinesburg Community School and will feature a 10K and a 5K, while a 2K children’s race will be held at Veteran’s Park. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers, and the Book Sale at Town Hall will also open.
July 4 will start off with the reopening of the Book Sale, which will also feature a silent auction and a display by the Historical Society Display. There will be food booths set up along the street. A parade will take place beginning at 11:00 AM; this year’s theme is Mardi Gras and the Grand Marshal is Sue Barden.
The Community Alliance Church will host an ice cream social and a bluegrass band will entertain at Veteran’s Park. In addition, Hinesburg Public House will host beer gardens, music, food trucks and vendors. The daylong celebration will end off with a fireworks display at dusk.
Some of the vendors participating in the Hinesburg celebration may invest in signage or banner printing services to draw attention to their booths.
The 4th of July celebration is hosted by the Town of Hinesburg Recreation Department. Call 802-482-4691 for more information.
