The Hazelett Corporation is a company that specializes in metal casting and twin-belt casting. The company is still family-owned after four generations. Clarence Hazelett founded the company in 1919 and personally designed the casting machines that the company first used. Clarence’s son William took over the company back in 1924 and started the Hazelett Strip-Casting Corporation which he ran for half a decade until his son David took over in 2009.
On 25th July, the company kicked off celebrations with a party where Governor Phil Scott was one of the speakers. The party was hosted at Hazelett Corporation’s main location, which is in Colchester. The company had their employees wear Promotional Products for the event - blue T-Shirts with ‘100 years’ printed on them. When addressing the crowd and talking about the founder’s hard work to start the company, Governor Scott said:
“He had long and sleepless nights. He took risks. I hope companies like yours, with a spirit like Hazelett’s, inspires entrepreneurs across the state.”
Scott also mentioned how Hazelett’s success is due to a strong sense of teamwork within the corporation. Good chemistry is important for a team to work well together, and the dedication to the company’s cause was shown when almost everybody wore the company’s shirt.
