Fundraiser will benefit area children

The Butterflies and Bidding fundraising gala is taking place next month, raising funds for the Paul Gallagher Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund and the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington.

The gala will be held at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain’s butterfly pavilion, where guests can interact with the butterflies. Guests will enjoy a variety of appetizers and desserts, as well as drinks.

The main event of the evening will be the silent auction where guests will have the opportunity to bid on a number of prizes, such as travel packages and unique gifts. Organizers are still accepting donations of items from individuals and local businesses.

The Paul Gallagher Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund awards an annual scholarship to one college or high school student from the state. The Boys and Girls Club of Burlington provides programs and services that are shown to keep children out of trouble.

People from the area, including from Hinesburg, will likely take the short trip to attend this unique fundraiser. Local printing companies often help to spread the word about events such as these by providing marketing materials.

The Butterflies and Bidding gala is taking place at ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain on March 30 beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door for LCRCC and $20 at the door for the general public. Call 802-863-3489 for more information.
