Echo Lakes name is mud next month

The Echo Lake Aquarium and Science Center is holding its 10th annual Earth Weeks Mudfest for 16 days this April.

There will be different activities taking place during the run of the festival, which will include games and a daily mud fling. Story Explorers will be reading ‘Mud’ by Mary Lyn Ray, and there will also be music and a look at soil science.

The second last day of the festival will feature a variety of live animals, including an African giant bullfrog, Madagascan hissing cockroaches, and a giant Argentine tegu lizard.

In past years, there have been activities such as the showing of a wildlife movie, a mud table, edible bugs, and music in the Lakeside Pavilion.

No doubt many parents from the surrounding area, including Hinesburg, will make the trip with their children for a day of fun. To let people know about this event, organizers may invest in postcard or flyer printing services.
