A special music series known as a rug concert, geared for young children, will be presented at the Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael’s College in Colchester. The Vermont Youth Orchestra Association is the event sponsor.
Children will have the opportunity to be introduced to composers and singers. They will have a chance to play instruments in a friendly and comfortable setting. The program will allow children to learn about and experience classical music in a unique and fun manner.
The concerts are set in 45-minute sessions featuring a few different instrumentalists as well as singers. They will each perform and discuss their instruments. After each concert, the children will have the ability to meet the musicians and learn more about their instruments and musical careers.
Brochure printing is a marketing task for the promotion of local concerts and special events. The Brochures can have colorful imagery and descriptive content in them, as well as contact information. A trifold brochure can be mailed to a database list or distributed at various locations.
The Elley-Long Music Center is located at St. Michael’s College at 223 Ethan Allen Ave. The Rug Concert event is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, starting at 11:00 am. Concert tickets can be purchased online; adults are $10 and children are $5. Parking onsite is available. More details are available via the concert website.
