The Dream Big 5K is scheduled to take place later this month and will be in a virtual format for the safety of all participants in Colchester.
The event is a fundraiser that benefits athletes with disabilities through the EDD Adaptive Sports programs. The race welcomes all runners, rollers and walkers of all ability status. Being a virtual race, registrants can participate from any place of their choosing. Swag Bags and prizes sporting the race’s Logo Design will be part of the fun.
The 2021 goal is to raise $5,000 or more to be achieved by active participation from individuals and teams. A team can be created with friends, family and colleagues from work.
Each participant will be entered in the weekly prize drawing which will give away tote Bags for sports gear, and EDD hoodie, a Bluetooth speaker and wireless earbuds.
As virtual activities have taken the forefront the past year, graphic design is often needed for online presentations. The design livens up a PowerPoint or other delivery platform and makes it look professional.
The Gold Sponsor this year is Community Bank. Other sponsors include Spherion Staffing and Recruiting and EDD Adaptive Sports.
A choice of events is open for 5K Virtual, 5K Virtual Adaptive, 1K Virtual, and 1K Virtual Adaptive. Registration is $25.00 and may be handled via the event website. The race is open from April 25-May 9.
