Longer days are perfect for outdoor concerts, and Colchester is taking advantage of the summer evenings with its 2025 Summer Concert Series.
This year, the concerts will begin at 6.30 pm, a new time. The first group to perform is A House on Fire, a group of outstanding musicians with an extensive setlist that includes rock, R&B, country, soul, Motown, and more, from the 1980s until today. Artists from The Rolling Stones to Aretha Franklin and Prince are represented.
Next up in InCahoots, a four-piece group that plays genres of all kinds, from AC/DC to Charlie Daniels. The outfit is based in Plattsburgh, New York.
She Was Right is a four-piece group comprising Colchester residents Cait Hoffmann, Stewart Foster, Jim Neary, and one “outsider,” Otto Funke, who is from Monkton. The band covers acoustic works from several decades including songs by Alison Krauss, The Eagles, and more.
Soulshine Revival is a tribute band for the Allman Brothers. The group is based in Vermont and performs throughout New England. The band recreates the Allman Brothers concerts in detail.
A House on Fire plays July 10, InCahoots appears July 17, She Was Right on for July 24, and Soulshine Revival is up July 31. The free concerts take place beachside in Lower Bayside Park. Attendees are welcome to bring picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs to enjoy the evening. Events like this can benefit when organizers use banner printing to create decorations for the outdoor venues.
