The 34th annual Vergennes Day festival is taking place over two days next month, presented by the City of Vergennes and the Addison County Chamber of Commerce.
There will be a variety of family friendly events taking place in the downtown area. There is set to be a pancake breakfast, horse-drawn wagon rides, a children’s area, and a Rubber Duckie Race. There will be a Lions Club barbecue, musical entertainment from The Hitmen, and an information booth. Beverages and snacks will be provided by the Boys and Girls Club.
More than 65 arts and craft vendors are expected to be on hand to sell their handmade articles such as paintings, jewelry and pottery. Spaces are available until this Sunday, July 31 and cost $55 or $40 for nonprofit organizations.
The last day of the festival will feature the Little City 5K and 10K. Participation fees for both are $20 for adults and $10 for youth. Proceeds will be donated to the Bixby Memorial Free Library.
Visitors from all over the area, including nearby Hinesburg, may learn about this event through advertisements or Flyers placed in local newspapers.
