Springfield workshop prioritizes staying healthy

An upcoming workshop in Springfield will focus on staying well, rather than recovering from illness.

The MEGA Wellness Workshop is hosted by Dr. Kristy Appelbans, who is a Naturopathic Doctor, NMD, MSRA. Traditional medicine is concerned with diagnosing and treating illnesses and conditions after they have already appeared in a patient, while wellness seeks to prevent these conditions from occurring in the first place. Wellness is often concerned with things like exercise, diet, and weight control, which can be controlled by the individual.

At the event, Dr. Appelbans will teach attendees how to care for themselves and find a balance in their lives that will help them improve their overall well-being. During the workshop, people will have a chance to explore several aspects of wellness including self-care, nutrition, and business. They will also have a chance to meet and chat with others who are on the same journey.

Dr. Appelhans, who is licensed as a Naturopathic Doctor by the state of California, is a graduate of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, located in Mesa, Arizona. She has been in private practice since 2007, and creates personalized plans for each of her patients.

The workshop represents an opportunity for people to invest in themselves and their overall health. The event is scheduled for November 11, from 11.00am until 2.30pm, at the Hilton Springfield. The fee to attend the workshop is $25.00. Events like this are often seen as great places for attendees to exchange Business Cards.
