A musician who lives and works in Northern Virginia will be giving a performance in Springfield shortly.
Bill Schroeher is appearing as part of the Thursday Night Live music series. He says that some of his earliest memories are family gatherings where everyone sang around a campfire while his father played the guitar. He realized that those moments were less about music and more about connecting with others, a philosophy he carries into his shows.
His parents gave Schroeher an acoustic guitar when he was 12. The instrument was the impetus for his career in music, and he grew up playing and singing in bands throughout high school, into his college years, and now as a performer, offering a mix of his own music as well as covers.
He lives in Northern Virginia and gigs throughout the area, both as a member of cover bands, and as a soloist, where he plays acoustic guitar. His setlists span various genres including alternative, folk, Americana, classic rock, and rock, ranging from the 1960s to the present day. Last year, he uploaded a compilation of acoustic covers onto Soundcloud.
Bill Schroeher will appear at Vim & Victor, which is in the St. James complex, on Thursday, July 9. When they plan events like this, organizers can use poster printing to create advertising to support them.
