A band specializing in classic rock is coming to Springfield.
Fat Chance will be appearing soon at Kilroys, where they plan to rock the house. The five-piece dance band and rock and roll outfit is based in Vienna, Virginia, and has been playing throughout the local area for about 15 years. They enjoy playing outdoors in the warmer months, and also entertain at weddings, corporate events, and private parties, as well as local clubs.
The band specializes in covering hits from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, though they can sometimes be heard playing something written more recently. They enjoy appearing at events of all types and sizes.
An extensive setlist will bring back memories for many audience members. Among the hits and artists audiences can expect to hear are “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” by the Rolling Stones, Santana’s “Black Magic Woman”, Queen’s iconic anthem “Fat-Bottomed Girls”, “Mustang Sally” by Wilson Pickett, “Message in a Bottle” by The Police, “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash, and dozens more.
Fat Chance is scheduled to appear Saturday, July 22 at 9:00 pm and the event is expected to go on after midnight. Kilroys is located at 5250 Port Royal Road in Springfield. Organizers of events like this might consider using flyer printing to create handouts they can post throughout the local area, advertising the performance.
