Springfield mall to be abuzz with family fun
A special event in Springfield will provide a day of enjoyment for kids of all ages.
PlayPalooza is a unique, action-packed family festival that has something for everyone. The event is immersive and offers interactive fun, active play, and experiences designed specifically for toddlers, providing non-stop excitement for families.
PlayPalooza includes a live DJ, obstacle courses, concessions, bounce houses, foam parties, and an opportunity for kids to meet-and-greet their favorite characters. A children’s business fair is planned as well.
A Truck Touch Zone will be available, based on the popular Touch-a-Truck events held nationwide. At these demonstrations, vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, construction vehicles, and even helicopters are available for people to examine closely, even sitting in the drivers’ seats. Operators are often on hand to explain how the equipment works.
PlayPalooza is also partnering with Butterfly Books, and will be accepted donations of books at the event. Butterfly Books distributes books and other literary supplies to underserved communities via book drives, literary events, and bundle donations. The group also installs and fills Little Libraries in the region.
PlayPalooza is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm, at Springfield Plaza, 7206 Old Keene Mill Road. The event is free. Organizers of community events like this can use poster printing methods to create colorful advertising to promote them.
