An upcoming luncheon in Springfield will feature a talk by an Army official about pay and personnel.
The AFCEA Belvoir January 2025 Luncheon will feature guest speaker Colonel Matthew Paul, who is the Project Manager for the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A). He assumed that position in April 2024, and is responsible for developing, integrating, and launching various programs that span the readiness and human capital areas of Army operations.
AFCEA is the acronym for the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association, which dates from 1946. The association is a non-profit organization that provides a forum for members in academia, industry, government, and the military. As members, they have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and build professional relationships, especially in the fields of global security, intelligence, IT, and communications.
The luncheon is scheduled for January 29, from 11.30 am until 1.30 pm, at the Embassy Suites – Springfield, located at 8100 Loisdale Road. There will be a networking opportunity from 11.30 am until noon, followed by the introduction of the speaker at 12.00 pm, and the presentation at 12.10 pm, when lunch will be served. The fee for the lunch is $65 for AFCEA members; $80 for general admission attendees; and free for government employees. Refunds are available until seven days before the luncheon. When they plan an event like this, organizers will often use flyer printing to create a handout containing the agenda.
