Mysterious doings at Springfield Italian
Mystery fans in Springfield have a chance to enjoy a fun evening and a delicious meal simultaneously.
Maggiano’s Little Italy in Springfield will be hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner, a chance for fans of this genre to become involved in a homicide investigation—though not a real one. The “murder” and subsequent sleuthing are all part of a carefully crafted evening in which diners will find themselves assessing clues, perhaps assisting the detective, perhaps even becoming one of the suspects. The restaurant’s ambiance is perfect for this type of performance.
Along with the fun of the mystery, Maggiano’s has planned a delicious menu, and the dinner will be served family style. The first course includes Caesar salad, Italian chopped salad, spinach and artichoke al Forno, and calamari fritte. The main course offers choices of chicken Parmesan, rigatoni alla Vodka, four cheese ravioli served with a pesto alfredo sauce, or salmon with herbs and lemon. Desserts are a New York Style cheesecake, or tiramisu.
The event is scheduled for July 11, from 7.00 pm until 10.00 pm. Prices are $65 per person, which includes dinner, entertainment, and non-alcoholic beverages; or $75 per person which includes dinner, entertainment, non-alcoholic beverages, plus one glass of wine or a beer per person. Tax and fees are included but the gratuity is not. When they plan events like this, organizers can use flyer printing to create special menus to enhance the evening.
