Murder mystery in Springfield

Many people love mysteries, and now armchair detectives in Springfield have a chance to take part in one.

Maggiano’s Little Italy will be the venue for the upcoming “Murder Mystery at Maggiano’s.” The restaurant will serve a delicious meal as diners become participants in a murder mystery, some becoming amateur sleuths and some becoming suspects. The event may be perfect for people who love to read Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, and other similar authors.

The dinner will be served family style, with a first course comprising Caesar salad, Italian tossed salad, spinach and artichoke al forno, and calamari fritte. The second course includes four cheese ravioli served with a pesto Alfredo sauce; chicken parmesan; vegetarian baked ziti; and cod with a parmesan crust. Desserts are cheesecake, New York style, and tiramisu.

Organizers note that payment must be made online with a card. No tickets will be sold at the door, and the printed ticket must be presented at the event. Tables are set up for eight people. Larger parties will be split, but the tables will be adjacent. Parties of fewer than eight will be seated together, and everyone will be encouraged to mingle and have fun. Colorful Posters, created by event organizers using poster printing techniques, can be used to advertise events like this.

The event is aimed at those 21 years of age and over, and is set for May 17. Tickets are $65 each, or $75 for those who would like a glass of wine or a beer.
