A special event will bring fashion, art, and fundraising together in Springfield.
The 8th Annual Pink Carpet Event Charity Fashion Show celebrates survivors of breast cancer, and raises funds to support the Mary Washington Hospital Breast Cancer Fund. The Fund is supported by the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation, which was established in 1988 specifically to raise money for this and other programs at the hospital and its affiliates.
At the show, breast cancer survivors will be walking the runway along with professional male and female models. In addition, fashion designers from the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore area will bring the latest designs and glamor to the occasion.
Artist Leroy Brown will be on hand to do live paintings. Brown is a fine artist based in Virginia.
Two types of tickets are available, VIP and General Admission. The VIP Experience includes early entry to the show, a swag bag, vendor previews, hors d’oeuvres, a live band, VIP raffles, and front view seating.
The Pink Carpet Event Charity Fashion Show is scheduled for October 5, from 5.00 pm until 8.00 pm, at the Hilton Springfield, in the Potomac Ballroom. Parking at the hotel is free. VIPs will be admitted at 5.00 pm, with General Admission ticket holders admitted at 6.00 pm. The show will begin at 6.30 pm, and dancing with a DJ will begin after the show. Organizers of events like this might consider using flyer printing to create a handout introducing the designers.
