A camp for young people who love basketball is coming up in Springfield.
The 7th Annual Quinn Cook Basketball Camp Session 2 is now set to open. It is open to boys and girls from ages 5 to 17, and of all skill levels. Organizers note that although the camp focuses on many of the same activities as similar events, such as court etiquette, ball-handling, shooting, fundamentals, drills, and other skills, its goal is to create complete student-athletes.
To develop young people into well-rounded athletes, this camp will emphasize several aspects of sports beyond playing the game, including healthy eating and nutrition, sportsmanship, and leadership. To facilitate this growth, coaches and instructors are former and/or current players from all levels, including the NBA. Camp attendees will be divided into groups by age, and they will be working with a player who understands the needs and abilities of that age range.
Attendees at the camp will learn more than how to play basketball. They will also be taught self-discipline, consideration for others, teamwork, and how to achieve their potential in life, as well as in sports.
The days and times of the camp are August 7 at 9:00 am until August 11 at 4:00 pm, at the St. James in Springfield. Everyone will receive a T-shirt, and will be able to get an autograph from Quinn and other sports stars. Organizers of events like this can use brochure printing to create instruction Booklets/schedules for attendees.
